A hot piece of brass

In May 2010, my husband and I purchased a very special mid-century home. Since we were on a budget, I quickly set to furnishing the house in vintage pieces found at auctions, tag sales, online and occasionally, even from the trash. What I realized very quickly was not only did I love doing this, but that I was good at it! My home is almost finished, so I've decided to help others in their pursuit of mid century gems. I now specialize in finding mid century furnishings and decor for clients desiring anything from a special stand-out piece to total mid-century make over. My Etsy shop is a fun collection of items from the 1950's, 60's and 70's that I find when I am out sourcing for clients.

Lately, I've been encountering a lot of interesting brass objects. I had to admit, I'm a little surprised to find myself attracted to them - I grew up in a house full of brass, and swore it off as hideous for years! But now, I find a certain elegance and beauty in its color and the patina it acquires with age. It also has a hint of glamor and can give warmth to an interior. I hope you enjoy my treasury!
